After the thrills of NYFW we turn our attention to London to show us what it’s got.

Famous for it’s young generation of designers, London is always the height of cool and highlights the most cutting edge designs. This year technology took an important role and shows were streaming live to phones, tablets and even shop windows throughout the city.

Key trends for next SS15 float gently on pure white fabric, layers of tulle and lighter-than-air lace. Midriffs were the new focal point and multiple shades of beautiful blues were displayed in both separates and dresses alike. Embellishment is always important in high fashion, with dark and emotive gothic designs enhanced with beading, delicate applique and subtle cut-outs. There was of course a fun element in store for us, with big brands focussing on their print of the season; stripes.

Here we have picked out our favourite pieces from the London Trends:

Nothing says Summer like an angelic all white outfit and the catwalks were constant with ethereal models drifting past in these gorgeous clean designs. Vintage-inspired floor length lace was a show-stopper at Erdem and we love the feminine silhouettes at Holly Fulton and Topshop Unique.

TOPSHOP UNIQUE{Bedazzled sheer fabrics at Topshop Unique}

ERDEM{Floor-length lace layers at Erdem}

Every blue you could ever imagine popped up this season at LFW – from Sky to Navy, Emerald to Powder these hues were a statement and there is one to fit all. Burberry Prosum had elegant layers of tulle blues highlighted with a navy bow, Richard Nicoll went luxe in maxi-length draping and satin was mixed with matte fabrics at Paul Smith.

RICHARD NICOLL{Powder blue drape at Richard Nicoll}

PAUL SMITH{Mixing textures at Paul Smith}

Black is high end fashion. No matter what season, the omnipresent colour throughout the year is black. We saw this in many forms for this coming season; in textures over sheer fabrics, in appliqued panels, in embroidered tulle layers, in lace structures. Lace came out to play at Erdem again with a gothic twist, and we love the feminine embellishment at Holly Fulton.

ERDEM{A gothic lace twist at Erdem}

CHRISTOPHER KANE{Romantic dark applique at Christopher Kane}

An element of fun was thrown in to the mix with striped sportswear – in modern minimalist tones and mixed widths these pieces looking fresh and contemporary. Monochrome looks are interjected with blues, reds and pinks  to make them exciting and runway-worthy. We love the 60′s pink looks at Giles and the classic monochrome styling at Emilia Wickstead.
