Meet Coast’s Creative Director

I took time out to speak to Coast’s Creative Director Neil Hendy on his favourite things about the role and his look on our Autumn Winter range.

Neil Hendy Creative Director

Being Creative Director, you oversee all the creative departments here at Coast; why was this role made for you?

I have loved fashion all of my life – working with beautiful fabrics is a key highlight for me, and Coast is the perfect combination as it has beautiful fashionable product in luxurious fabrics.

What is your favourite aspect of the role?

Setting the direction for Coast is a significant aspect for me, from working with the design team to develop the concept for each range, right the way through to creating the ideas for shoots with the marketing team. Seeing the garments being brought to life through our beautiful campaign imagery and online features is a great feeling.

We have just launched our AUTUMN WINTER15 range, what are your favourite trends for this season?

The stunning botanical prints trend. We have a package this season which focuses all on botanicals; it mixes rich tones of teals and forest with navy and black, combined with modern floral prints produced by our talented in-house print team.

Coast is all about the WOW factor and allowing our customer to have fun dressing up!

What makes Coast’s AUTUMN WINTER15 collection so unique?

Coast is all about the WOW factor and allowing our customer to have fun dressing up. We offer unique and beautiful product in gorgeous fabrics that you can only find at Coast. We put attention to detail in every piece of our range.

What is your favourite piece from the collection?

I’m afraid I’m going to have to cheat here and have two! The Emrie Skirt and Naomi knit top – we shot these as an outfit for our look book and they look phenomenal together.

What exciting things do you see in Coast’s future?

We want to build on our unique handwriting and continue to offer the customer the most beautiful product on the high street. We also have a few surprises for SS16 but I’ll keep them under wraps for now…
