A Note from the Intern: A Curious Wedding Fair

April 18, 2013 in: Be Inspired, In the Know, Wedding Day

Hey there lovely readers,
Emma, Coast Intern-extraordinaire here! Today I’m going to let you in on a little secret. This weekend, and this weekend only, the lovely and outrageous A Most Curious Wedding Fair, will be coming to East London. Are you a bride-to-be looking for something quirky, different, or maybe just a little bit kooky for your big day? Well this is the place to be!

Heading into their sixth year, A Most Curious Wedding Fair promises to bring you a mixture of ‘innovative, design-led suppliers, fashion shows, entertainment, styling, activities, music and performances’.

Having just graduated from the position of ‘bride-to-be’ myself, I am horribly familiar with that overwhelming feeling of wanting to make your wedding special, different and memorable, but not knowing where to start. There is just so much choice out there, where to begin!?

A Most Curious Wedding Fair pulls enchanting suppliers from different departments together, under one roof. This is the perfect place to start brainstorming your wedding theme, or to pick up those last minute details that will add that little bit of extra sparkle.

However, this is not a traditional wedding fair. This is where magic happens, where old traditions are reworked, and new ones are formed. According to the creative ladies behind A Most Curious Wedding Fair, vintage is still around, but it’s slowly slipping out of the Wedding spotlight. This means that a glamorous space has opened up for wedding’s ‘next big thing’. And where better to hunt down new trends than at a meeting of some of the best wedding trendsetters in London? You’re sure to find Great Gatsby inspired décor and Bohemian-style dresses making an appearance at A Most Curious this year.

Along with the established suppliers who will be exhibiting at the fair, the BridalNEXT! Finalists will be displaying their wares too. The very best of the emerging bridal and wedding trends have been curated and await your presence at the Truman Brewery Gallery on Brick Lane. This will truly be the meeting of old and new, vintage and modern, traditional and just down right crazy! With so much inspiration in one place, this should definitely be the next stop on your wedding-planning journey. And whilst you’re on the hunt for inspiration, why not have a look at Coast’s collection of not-so-traditional shorter wedding dresses which can be found here.
