London Fashion Week

The month of September can only mean one thing – the return of London Fashion Week. The capital will see its stylish transformation once more as the world turns its eyes to what we’ll all be wearing next. Not only can we look forward to a whole new season’s worth of catwalk inspiration, but also a week filled with street style spotting, design installations and celebrity appearances. Be sure to take a trip to Somerset House’s infamous cobbled courtyard – entry to the venue is free, where you can take in the electric atmosphere and, of course, the gorgeous fashion. Look out for the Coast team who’ll be there in force, and if you’re swinging by Oxford St to get a head start on some of the trends you’ve seen, be sure to stop at our Flagship Store where our latest Limited Edition pieces are sure to be quickly  snapped up!

Gemma Bovery

We’ll be taking a trip to the silver screens for our monthly instalment of romantic indulgence; ‘Gemma Bovery’ promises a modern and flirty retelling of Posy Simmonds’ graphic novel adaption. Starring Coast’s favourite Gemma Arterton and Niels Schneider, the story follows the journey of a couple’s move to a small Norman town, unaware of its effects on their bored, humdrum marriage. With director of ‘Coco Before Chanel’ Anna Fontaine bringing this bilingual tale to life, we can’t wait to be sent on a French retreat through this satirical comedy.

London Design Festival

Lovers of all things beautifully crafted, the Coast team will be first in line for the events taking place at the London Design Festival. Hosted by the V&A museum, it will greet an extensive guest list of renowned designers of architecture, furniture, graphics and art for a unique week of inspiring exhibitions. Appearances from Tom Dixon, Barnaby Barford, Faye Toogood and many more assures experiences and symposiums, hitting the senses and exploding with surreal, interactive fun. Beyond the large-scale installations, small product launches and events will also take place – we’ll be spotted shopping for our new season décor at Roundhouse and the Shoreditch Design Triangle.

Proms in the Park

How can we resist an evening of music, drama and dressing up? The BBC Proms finale arrives in Hyde Park this September, boasting the biggest outdoor music concert in Britain. We’ll be styling our gowns and grabbing our new autumn cover ups to fit the part to attend the most anticipated open-air event of the season, featuring the talent of Danielle de Niese, Alison Balsom and The Jacksons. As well as being the ultimate evening for orchestral connoisseurs, it’s also the ideal introduction to the world of classical music, whether you join us on the field or listen from your living rooms.
